The Pandemic’s Impact on Media Industry Work Routines
Abstract
The digitization of the media industry was not as much of a change for the consumer as it was for the practitioners. Professional lives were immensely impacted by those changes (Morrow, 2017). However, a shift of even greater industry significance - and even bigger personal impact - came with the COVID crisis. The pandemic put the industry on another trajectory and produced a research gap that deserves attention. The focus of this research is on the transformation of industry traditions during the pandemic and the direct and personal implications for the people working in the media industry.
